The Business Technology Consumer Network could easily have helped these companies avoid or, at the least, minimize the impact of these punitive audits. Nothing to buy - no new software or hardware - no new consultants to hire. All company management had to do to minimize these events would have been to utilize the software piracy entries on this site. Just a simple application of POCS:

Software Piracy Audits (Such as those listed below) are incredibly costly--in cold hard cash; in lost productivity; and in damage to both your reputation and the corporate reputation.
